    Op naar Naples. De koffers zijn weer gepakt en na het ontbijt vertrekken we naar Naples, Florida. We nemen de 41, die gaat dwars door de Everglades. Al snel zien we de eerste alligator zwemmen. Overal kun je hier op boten, die je in films ziet, een tocht maken door de Everglades. Dit doen we misschien later nog. We zijn nu niet gekleed op de muggen …

    Next stop was Myakka lakes for a one night stop, with an airboat tour of the lake - lots of gators! We fed on gator stew for lunch - tip - it tastes like chicken.

    Heading southwards we stopped at an RV park in Naples for one night. This park is nearly deserted at this time of year, but come November the snowbirds come down from the north and open up their parked RVs. Basically it's a retirement village used ...

    We got lucky with the weather... It was supposed to rain a lot but so far, it has been pretty nice. We stayed in St. Petersburg for a night and are enjoying some beach/pool time in Naples.

    It's pretty hot and humid here and we decided to rent a cabin for a few nights... sleeping in the tent is not really a treat :)

    ... relatively short amount of time. On a planet the size of Jupiter earth gas resources would not be strong enough for us to travel efficiently from one distant locale to the other. So maybe on planets the size of Jupiter there are sources of fuel that propel their travel machinery much, much faster so that their civilizations can get from point A to B in what is, for them, a reasonable amount of time.     ... but the bacon served no purpose. Emma thought it tasted like you had eaten a brownie immediately after having a bacon sandwich, and realising you still had some bacon stuck in your teeth. Our aggregated rating was 4.5/5 burgers. The 0.5 was knocked off because the fries were too salty. We rounded the evening off sat on the private beach drinking a Florida Key West beer watching a thunderstorm roll around the bay. An incredible end to an excellent day. Happy birthday Chris ...
