The little boat was surprisingly nifty going across the lagoon and slowed to a gentle pace to go down the canals, all the canals had names such as ………. Our boatman spoke no English but knew exactly where to find little treasures to share with us such as starfish ...

Had a swim & found a convenient palm tree to dry off
under – Imagine these get snapped up pretty soon and then you have to fork out
for parasols or biminis, a strange concept I’ve not seen anywhere else ...

This turned out to be far easier (can rarely say that!) than
anticipated - the hotel staff were of
limited use – one guy said as he drove everywhere he didn’t know and the
cleaning ladies knew little more – the book offers no advice either – to get to
it was pretty good and authentic with real mozzarella, zinged up with some
fresh pepper and chilli oil – “I’m in heaven, ….”!
Enjoyed the rooftop terrace back at the ranch until bedtime
