Benitses Benitses, Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece, 49084
Back in Athens we missed our train to Meteora by about... 30 seconds! So to plan B, an overnight bus to Corfu on the most uncomfortable bus I have ever been on, and I have been on a lot of buses in a lot of dodgy countries!! We boarded the ferry at Igoumentisa at 4.30am and crashed out only to be rudely awoken at 6 by an announcement of our arrival. After spending the best part of the morning at the hospital Dave had recovered his hearing which came as a great relief to both of us. It did tak...

... have had to pay if we had stayed in the main town.
We found our accommodation, Bella Studios quite easily and out host, Anthea was very warm in her greeting, telling us some good places to eat and some places to visit. First order was to check out our pad and explore Benitses a little. Benitses is a small fishing village that has turned into a summer holiday town, so basically that means there are lots of tavernas, shops cafe and bars which are all shut down ...
First ferry experience: Wadi Halfa (Sudan) – Aswan (Egypt): approx: 350km
To put it bluntly, the ferry from Wadi Halfa to Aswan is little more than a floating vessel on which people are let loose.

Corfu was surprisingly warm today, around the mid 70s, which was warm enough for us to spend some time at the Aqualand water park. I've never been to a larger water park and we make is just in time before they closed for the winter. Me and my buddies played around until it began to get cool towards the late afternoon.
This morning we visited the ...
... tastic. Truly, it's been great.
When I arrived in my room I had a momentary hiccup where I just was so sad. I hadn't really missed Larry or felt home sick too much during the trip, but for some reason, on the cruise, in the room by myself, I just broke down. BUT. I told myself, "Josie, you are here and you're alone. But you're here." From that point on it was, pardon -- or don't, the pun, smoooooth sailing.
I had a FABULOUS welcome treat in my room in the form ...
... the gym hence leaving Robyn and Olivia play copious card games together. We seem to be in the dining room all the time and the food is fabulous. Chris helped himself to the bottle of water on the table, the first night at dinner, only to find later that it is priced like gold and had been purchased by the guests we shared the table with. They must have thought us real plebs.
Our first stop was Corfu and the weather, fabulous and warm. Walked ...
... where there were some deckchairs and umbrellas and a little wooden hut thing which these 2 people were organising water sports and that was it. And unbeknown to me, Dangerous Dave had organised for everyone from the tour to put in some euros and so paid for me to do waterskiing and tubing and it was just soooo much fun. We had the best time there. Although did come away with some battle wounds from the tubing when Dave flipped out of his, flipping me out and causing ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece t_lee... the bus full of our grocery bags and headed for the port. We didn't have too long to wait before boarding the ship and had actually pretty good little rooms. Dean, Dangerous Dave and I shared a little cabin and we had a tasty dinner on board the ship. After din dins we went up on deck and enjoyed the amazing sunset and chatted and chillaxed. It was such a nice night. We had cabin chats and then it was time for bed.
Next morning we were up bright and ...
There is a town north of Corfu and it's really cool, but it's a village in some way.Though, I did visit the Corfu town and I must say it is AMAZING. All those fortresses and fancy resturants and bars were a total hit! Everybody was so relaxed, people aren't that stressed at all. I ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece indianabones... swimming and cliff jumping (worst kind whasname who wouldn't jump, potentially killed the entire vibe of the booze cruise)
Met L-Bow and Jess due to Bosh's inability to capture Jess's cliff jump on camera due to forgetting what she looked like
Bosh labelling some brown dude as an absolute zero and reiterating it constantly
Creepy Captain George offering a couple 300E each to have sex in the hull (not the first people to have been ...
