... all the Christmas lights and decorations are absolutely EVERYWHERE all over town- so spectacular! I've never seen a whole city go so intense on their decorations- would have loved to have taken photos if we'd had time.. This morning after breakfast we caught the shuttle back to the airport and then the volunteer shuttle from the airport to Brasov (a 3 hour trip) :) Even though we were tired, the views made the road trip sooo worth it- we were ...

Some, like Harman are small but impressive, others like Prejma are really big and intricate and were all but impregnable. A wall was constructed around the church and then defenses were added, while the ...

"It's fine," I told her. She looked relieved and left back to reception.

After an hour or two (I'd learnt the chords to 'Dragostea Din Tei' on the communal guitar until I noticed one of the Romanian staff members was frowning at me) a girl walked into the room and asked us for a bottle-opener for the hostel's complimentary daily beer. She was a 21-year-old American girl named Sarah, serving in the US army but was taking a little ...
