    ... actually reaches the sand. The umbrellas and chairs go right from the street to the waters edge and it is actually pretty unattractive. Hayley went off partying somewhere and I went and met Wilf and another friend of his in town. Went for drinks then to an average transvestite show before hitting Boyz town which is kind of the same but for men with male gogo dancers shaking it on the stage.     ... and bar girls but no one approached us to sell anything unless you asked them. Phil and Dave bought some shirts. We then drove to a shopping centre where we had a wander around the supermarket. As well stocked and laid out as any Oz one. Had a lovely Thai lunch and then home for a nap.     ... seeing.

    Later back in Bangkok we decided to see Bangkok nightlife. We went to Khao San which is the backpackers area and is known for cheap drinks and party street. We had some drinks from buckets which is about $4 NZD. See why it is popular with the backpackers.
    Anyway after a few to many we had Lebanese meal and got a taxi home.

    ... managed to stay out of trouble and had a good time. Fail: While trying to find a good hiding place for an iPad, look before you place it on top of the closet because you might hear that said iPad fall into the hole on the side of closet with no way of reaching it or knowing if it even still works .     ... recommendation to shun the expensive Tesco in favour the local markets for last night's supper. The results were mixed as amongst the edible rice/noodles and chicken wings she purchased, there were also some chicken feet and stinking fish balls, which looked less than appetising.
