    ... great. Besides the beautiful lights of the city, everything was done up for Christmas. Back at the hostel I met this Canadian guy who had recently retired from the Provincial government in Alberta.     ... cycle tour to Laos, so we took the opportunity to get one at Santa Fe's in Pattaya. It was good. We returned home via a nursery where we picked up a couple of nice orchids for Noy. Walked around a bit past loads of souvenir and knock off clothes shops (they fake everything and most of it looks pretty good!) eventually settled on getting food at a place where you select the weight of shellfish you want cooked for you meal (they take you to the front of the restaurant and pull it out of the chill box and weigh it).     ... set up but we were too late and he had already left.We felt really bad!! However the night was really good had a lovely curry and played a quiz all to raise money for a teacher called Adam who had been assaulted and left for dead in Thailand!!     ... TESCOS!!!! We managed to stock up on all our favourite luxuries from home, for Ben this meant Haribo sweets!!

    It was lovely to get away, and enjoy good food, wine, beer and sunshine. Now we are just counting down to our next holiday to Langkowi.... 5 weeks and counting... oh how hard it is to be an international teacher!!
