Next up was another amazing stop the Wat Arun, or Temple of Dawn. Wat Arun is named for Aruna, the Indian God of dawn because King Taksin arrived here at sunrise in Oct 1767 to establish Thon Buri as Siam's new capital. With it's prominent prang (towers) the Temple shows a strong Khmer influence. All the prang are ornamentally encrusted with colorful broken porcelain, truly ...

I am glad she had her cat Kona ready to snuggle with her when she got home. Nothing helps you feel better than a purring cat keeping you warm. I don't think she has gotten used to the cold weather in Ottawa after her month long visit in Thailand. I think both Stephanie and Jennifer want to come visit mummy and daddy again.

Got thru one book and started into a Stephen King book, but was hard to read cause we all wanted to visit poolside with each other. Kinda became like a little family, so ...

... to a National Park where 200 wild elephants took refuge. We got to ride in the back of a ute to go in search of the elephants. We first saw a male and then s female by herself, then two in a water hole and a small group of four (in the distance). On the way back we saw 3 elephants. It was truly awesome. We were out on safari for almost 3hrs. Our driver got lost on the way back to the Bungalow so we didn't eat Dinner until 8. We got back to the Bungalow at ...
