    ... duration - about two hours - was something you have to see to believe. The train was winding its way through the Swiss Alps with little villages littered throughout for locals and tourists to hop and off at their leisure. There were a few little towns along the way, particularly Sarnen, Giswil, Meiringen and Brienz that looked incredible.     So I return to Lauterbrunnen.

    Last time I was here it was freezing and snowing but it was beautiful. The beauty hasn't changed and up the top there still is snow. Down in the valley though was rather hot. I am from Australia so I can deal with the heat wave In Switzerland at the moment.

    ... all gets backed-up and comes to a stand those fast cars simply have to sit there stationary while me on my bike plod on passed between the slow moving cars. At one point I must have passed well over 2000 stationery cars.

    Finally I approach the Swiss border and police are cars and doing a random search. I was just glad when they waved me through as I really did not want to unload all my boxes here at the side of the road.

    ... way to get there except to return to Kleine Scheidegg. Luckily this was the short hike of the day since the two train stations were only a little over a mile apart. We found a trail, however, it was not marked along the way and we had to go through three closed fences to get there. Thankfully it was the correct trail and fences were to keep the cattle that we walked by contained.

    ... heights so that she could go up to the Schilthorn. We met her on the way back down to Murren on the cable car and she joined us on our hike down to Gimmelwald and our picnic. We ran into her again on the train to Interlaken this morning. She said she has a group of friends that we remind her of. We laughed about how her posse and we could meet up in the future for another adventure.
