Via Bella Italia 2/A Peschiera del Garda, Lake Garda, Veneto, Italy, 37019, 39-045-7550652
After all my travels throughout the world this beautiful place on lago di garda is without much doubt the most spiritual place I have found. It has a wonderful light and feeling to it. The calming lake and the imposing surrounding mountains give it an other worldy feel I have not encountered before. The small town of Salo' is the most authentic ...

Verona, Veneto, Italy frdrickI'm so sorry I've been horrible at keeping up with this! I keep a personal journal that I (try to) write in everyday, and then letters and emails, and Facebook, and another journal that Ben and I keep...I have so many places to update it's not even funny! But, here we go...get prepared for a long entry!
After Halloween, pretty much the entire town of Dello became sick. And that's only a slight exaggeration. First it was Francesco, who woke up one ...
... porridge with mushrooms and mozzarella which was sooo yumm, and then tripe and polenta which was also good.
They like their polenta here...
Checked out Juliette's House as it was included in the Verona card we got, but it was pretty **** and not worth paying for separately. She never even lived there...
Verona is a nice little town, but 1 day was plenty enough and time to move on to Milan
......... So apparently the title is a quote from Romeo and Juliet...... You learn something new every day!
So we only stopped here for a couple of hours as a rest stop but it was pretty cool.
Verona is a very pretty town that is famous for Juliet Capulet's balcony and the entrance to the balcony is where all the lovey dovey couples write ...
We left Trieste, and set off for Venezia, and to visit some of Dad's friends who had visited Vanuatu a couple of times on sailing trips. Since they have always live on boats, their house was so small and almost looked like living on a boat as well! It was so cute, and very unlike a typical Italian house!! We had lunch there....mmm...moustache fish!! Haha ...
Verona, Veneto, Italy ilovetheworld... caught a vaporetta which is just like a ferry down the Grand Canal, under Ponte de Rialto to Piazza San Marco where the markets selling tourist stuff were right where we got off. Katelyn was impressed with the Carnivale masks which were pretty impressive and not really that expensive (probably made in Asia). St Mark’s Square was flooded right in front of the cathedral and they had a narrow timber walkway for people to ...
Verona, Veneto, Italy kiama_on_tour... summer. Katelyn thought that there must have been a concert the night before as there were cigarette butts everywhere and some rubbish behind seats, but we had to remind her that we weren’t in Switzerland anymore. It would have been great to see a concert there.
We moved on to the Castelvecchio which is a castle or home to a couple of the noble families of Verona but is now a very important art gallery with religious paintings which always had some form of ...
... some machine so it looks like spaghetti but damn it was good! I actually had it twice because it was to dark to take a photo of it this first time)
After discussing what to do with ourselves on our full day there we decided to hire a boat for an hour and spend some time out on the lake and go for a swim, it was awesome. Ian was the captain but we all took turns driving (I learnt that I am ...
... ants nest. not the best pitch we have ever had. We spend the first day lounging by the lake, this part of the lake is dirty and nothing like the romantic picturesque images we were looking forward to. nevertheless it was relaxing the food was good and the beer was cold.
what more could I ask for?
a pitch in the shade away from the ants and the children, too much to ask?
