... mountains behind it. I chose to walk up the path to the lookout rather than take the Funicular. The lookout is 400 metres up the mountain, and is accessed by a path that zig zags up the face. Boy was it hard work. No wonder everyone took the funicular. The view was rather spectacular.

This morning we headed to Salzburg, made famous for the Sound of Music, but more so as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Driving through the magnificent countryside of the lake district of Austria we arrive in a quaint village called Mondsee to see the church where the wedding scene of the movie Sound of Music was filmed. ... weather. When we were finished, we came back to the dorm and did more studying and more practicing. Not an overly exciting day, but quite productive.

I also should mention that I tried a scoop of chocolate chili ice cream today. Let me tell you-- it is the strangest sensation to feel as though your tongue is simultaneously on fire and the temperature of a freezer. Just saying.
