    ... but didn’t quite make it to the ultimate ‘peak’ due to heat/exhaustion (mostly me but Ginette was even tired!). We saw some amazing wildlife including a bright pink dragonfly (see picture), a brilliant blue butterfly, lizards and a lonely bat in the rest station under the roof. We trundled back down and dinghied back to the boat exhausted but exhilarated by our experience.

    Christmas this year was very unusual for us since we spent it in Mulu in Borneo where the electricity has limited hours, 'basic' takes on a completly new meaning and Christmas celebration is different to what we are used to.     ... Maybe once you've been to others like Kelly Tarltons or Sydney etc just makes you expect a little more. Quite a few different types of fish. Had the giant spider crabs which were freaky. There is a part you go into where they have some parrots and little monkeys that roam free and have a big penguin enclosure but that's about it. No toilet paper in the bathroom so need make sure you carry tissues! Azrizul then took us into Kuah which is the capital of Langkawi. Quite a busy ...

    Back to pack up and then headed in for some bar snacks before heading to the airport. Quick and easy flight to KL and checked into Sama Sama airport hotel located in the international terminal.
