    ... but didn’t quite make it to the ultimate ‘peak’ due to heat/exhaustion (mostly me but Ginette was even tired!). We saw some amazing wildlife including a bright pink dragonfly (see picture), a brilliant blue butterfly, lizards and a lonely bat in the rest station under the roof. We trundled back down and dinghied back to the boat exhausted but exhilarated by our experience.

    Christmas this year was very unusual for us since we spent it in Mulu in Borneo where the electricity has limited hours, 'basic' takes on a completly new meaning and Christmas celebration is different to what we are used to.     We had an amazing nights sleep in our comfortable bed and and cold room, no alarm needed today. We had breakfast, put on our cream, and headed down to the beach. We stayed at the beach all afternoon soaking in the sun. Eiry wasn't feeling very well so we headed back to the room and chilled in the hammock. It also gave us an opportunity to wash our clothes.
