Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States austinairwaves... pytti pannam (onion, potoato, beef hash), plus steamed kale and wonderful Swedish-style beans, with honey and vinaeger. DeLISH! The small restuarant/tavern is filled with Sousaphones, Euphoniums, and of course, bigass TUBAs. Lots and lots of tubas! We were seated in one of the booths, with a world map next to us on the wall. I told our cute waitress that I was headed to Ghana, and she exclaimed, "My sister JUST got back from ...

My plans right now are to be here in AA for today and to leave tomorrow to make my way leisurely to Minneapolis to Deann's house. Since she is in hospital getting a knee replaced, there's no hurry in getting there, but I want to be there to care for her for a few days when she is released before I make my way back to Oregon.
Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States rvrladypatHi All, We are getting ready to leave on Friday and are tying up all the loose ends. I don't know how Donna and Bob do this all the time, it is hard to be gone for a month! I've never done this before! We have our backpacks nearly full of bug repellent (no, they don't make snake repellent that I know of, mom), hiking clothes, sunscreen, and sleeping bags. I am also a walking drug store with lots of meds just in case one of us gets sick. Maybe I should ...
Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States brookincita... to get me a new phone. How sad, 3 weeks without one, and I couldn't even go home without replacing it.
