... the snow on them, made for a really picture postcard effect. One of Antalya's claims to fame is that you can swim and ski within an hour of each other - that's how close the mountains are. Today we stopped at one of the restaurants in the marina, bought ourselves our rapidly-becoming favourite drink (Efes Beer) and sat and watched the world go by. The temperature was 20C according to a thermometer we saw down ...

... hot springs of course and created an enormous bathhouse just next to the white terraces. Fangio, our driver, took us to the top of the terraces so that we could walk down the face of the terraces. You are able to walk the terraces so long as you remove your shoes because shoes may compromise the white colour. Can't imagine being able to do that in NZ - everything would be roped off. Antalya and a Haircut!

This morning we walked down to the Port area with stunning views over the water to snow capped mountains from the Taurus range.

Lots of locals and tourists around as it was a lovely sunny day. Heaps of cafés and restaurants. We walked around the water for a while and sat in the sun.

Antalya is a lovely city - very laid back and a nice vibe about it. The sun helps!

Our next stop was Olympos which ia an ancient Lycian city in the bottom of a valley on the coast.

It was very much a Hana stop as every time you wanted to go swimming you had to go through parts of the ancient city.

The first night we did a quick walk through on the way to the beach so Chris could have a swim, vy then there was no sun so Hana wasn't silly enough to be tempted to get ...

      Chill out time in Olympos

... didn't get to spend a lot of time up there, saw some flames and then had to walk down again. Not impressed it was such a rushed tour.

21 SEPTEMBER 2010 - Up early in Olympos and had breakfast. A free day, thank god as it was a bad day for me and to put it as bluntly as possible I was ******** like a river! We went to the beach in the afternoon after a very lazy morning nursing a upset tummy. The beach was nice but unfortunately it was ...
