    Special Bread

Breakfast at Mora Otel was a buffet, a surprise, since there was only one other guest. I loved the local specialty bread, big round loafs, one firm whole wheat and one reminded me of a moist yellow corn bread. I am not sure what the later was made from.

    The weather forecast ...

Bought fresh bread and saw the coolest thing. You can buy a whole slap of dripping honey comb straight out of the beehive from the local shop. As in the whole wooden draw thing. Very tempted but we have already have had a watermelon, a carton of milk, a carton of juice and some medicine leak in the car so far. Honey would just be a nightmare! ...

Day 158 Day total: 16 hrs, 7.0 kms Next day I continue on west, slowly and reluctantly working my way back towards Istanbul. There's so much more exploring I'd like to do around here. Unlike in previous years, when I felt weary and quite ready to give up traveling for a while, at the end of this "big trip" I feel I've still got a lot more wandering in me. Next I hop on one of the many mini buses heading to the next city up the road: Ordu. It's interesting to note, that even though this is just a "town hopper" mini-bus, the attendant is still very well dressed, and offers you free water on the ride. Just love the service and professionalism of buses here in Turkey. Sometimes they won't let me take my guitar on board, but I know it will be ...

... along the shore that kind of seems like it was designed by the same guy who designed the Samsun and Unye shoreline parks... same setup: artificial waterfall... lights that change color... little ponds and bridges... Fatsa does have a nice little fishing harbor and a dock reaching out to the sea.

I was kind of hoping the Black Sea region would have a bit more personality and originality to it...

Wait... remember? focus on the positive!
