... you but when you see up to as many as 30 shutes gliding their way to Ölüdeniz-the real name of this place -you wish you had lost your mind temporarily. Its the bay of the blue lagoon where Mutiny on Bounty was filmed. Lisa says lets get a drink and lunch. Damn, another seaside balcony overlooking the bay .... and unknown to us and some scattering tourists below, the promenade below doubles as, you may have guessed already, the landing strip. And when ...

Perhaps unsurprisingly then, this once grand ancient theatre, which was once big enough to hold 6,000 people, was left looking a little worse for wear.

After wandering past the waterfront bars and restaurants, and the dozens of party boats returning from their day trips to the nearby bays and islands, we headed ...

... time just evaporated there. Up on the pavement in front of the beach, paragliders landed with varied precision, sometimes taking out the unfortunate tourist who stumbled into their landing path.

We’re staying in the tourist town of Fethiye, and it’s overrun with British tourists, all-inclusive hotels, and cheesy pubs and clubs adorned with neon lights and lax doormen. You could be forgiven for thinking we were somewhere in England – Newquay ...
