      I have moved to Fethiye now, a few hours bus ride along the coast from Marmaris. The main reason for visiting Fethiye is to inspect a boat for sale ( see pic ). However, of course while here, I am doing some sight-seeing. As you will see in the pix, the views across the harbour are spectacular. Aside from viewing the boat Tiki, things I have been doing include:

      An earlish start, as it was way to hot to sleep in, we headed to the entrance to the white terraces, conveniently located across the road. Owen and I had opted for walking shoes over jandals as it looked pretty steep, that was short lived as about 20 metes in was the no shoe zone - damm it - shoes to be carried the rest of the way. It was crazy they let you walk on he terraces, abiet some were clearly man made... And some were perhaps painted that way... but still a pretty ...

      ... all worthwhile. The continuous day of hitting a different club every night and tanning on sun beds during the day was perfect.

      ... in Thailand. Kate and I were on cook group duty and Karen the tour leader left me in charge of cooking a Moroccan style vegetable stew for the group - no pressure! It took hours to prepare and was accidentally too spicy so I think the group will be thankful it will be another 2 weeks until we do it again! We also had our first expedition birthday, Dutch Bob, not Cockney Bob and we celebrated with a slice of chocolate ...
