The Port of Calais is a bit far from the center of town, but I managed to walk there from the Port without any problems. One of the first things I saw when exiting was a bunch of poor-looking what I assume were illegal migrants. Months later I saw an episode of UK Border Force where they showed how they do indeed hang out by the Port of Calais, waiting ...
