      On the second train Jamie made friends with the old lady next to him, even though she spoke no English and Jamie was clueless with her French. Five hours later and we were rolling our bags out of Gare du Nice headed for our lodging for the next three nights.       ... principality. From a lookout, we watched the waves of the crashing sea, and on the other side, the enormous yachts of the jet set, some of whom congregated in a fashion show.

      We finally made our way to Monte Carlo,vibrant after an Ernst & Young event, where my father peeked inside, and I strolled outside near a mirror-like sculpture and the various luxury accommodations. As the sun rolled below the Earth, we returned to Nice for the night.

It's the famous road that goes round the top of the mountains overlooking Monaco and Monte Carlo - it says in the Rough Guide to France that you need a head for heights and that it would be better driven in a Maserati rather than a Lunar motorhome".
