    ... t add up. Anyway, this turn of events was welcomed after our Ryanair debacle and late night hotel room scramble. The next morning we got up for an early morning hike to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. This little hike is known for its views of the Monaco and Nice coastlines, as well as large villas along the way. We saw tons of people running along the trail which would help explain why French people are so skinny! For dinner, we went for a true French experience ...

    ... principality. From a lookout, we watched the waves of the crashing sea, and on the other side, the enormous yachts of the jet set, some of whom congregated in a fashion show.

    We finally made our way to Monte Carlo,vibrant after an Ernst & Young event, where my father peeked inside, and I strolled outside near a mirror-like sculpture and the various luxury accommodations. As the sun rolled below the Earth, we returned to Nice for the night.

    ... I also sat next to an Indian man named Manedi who was working at GM for two months. Engines are his area of expertise. Despite my sleep-time tea with extra valerian, I could not get comfortable to sleep. Thus, my attempts to practice French immediately upon arrival ended in me simply asking, "Excusez-moi, parlez-vous anglais?" Eventually I started adding, "Je parle francaise un peu." I will say, everyone I have encountered assumes I am French and just speaks to me as such. ...

    ... It's the famous road that goes round the top of the mountains overlooking Monaco and Monte Carlo - it says in the Rough Guide to France that you need a head for heights and that it would be better driven in a Maserati rather than a Lunar motorhome". A deep soulful and agonising howl erupts from the drivers seat?

    ... it in anyway but the doctor sent me up to radiology to get it figured out with an x-ray and ultrasound. Approximately €150 later I found out I had a heaping case of tendinitis in my ankle :/. With the bandaging and meds hopefully it will be gone in a week but it definitely puts a kink in the plans to go to Pompeii and Herculaneum (Not sure if that's how you spell the second one....) and then Rome since they require quite a bit of walking. I'll just have to go slow ...
