Today we are in the port at Toulon (Provence) in France. Once again, been here, done this. This is also a more industrial port, so we stay on board again. So more cards, knitting and reading. Guenther has one of his hot stone messages (his favorite) with Marie from Jamaica as his masseuse. Guenther is quiet happy with this and ...

The tourist office was closed, the first person we asked was a foreign visitor, the next lady understood my French but her 2 dogs made such a racket we could hardly hear her reply! The girls had to catch a train to Brussels that weekend so Pierre had to leave quickly. Didn't really get a chance to say goodbye to everyone properly but I guess I would see most of them on Monday. The guys from Cornel I was a bit more disappointed but who knows, maybe I'll bump into them ...

Today is a beautiful sunny day. It is 18 degrees with a light breeze. It is the perfect day for a hike. Yesterday, we took a boat tour and visited 3 different Calanques. Today we will hike to the last Calanque that we saw on the tour, La Calanque De En Vau. Now, I've done lots of hiking in my day; I grew up on the Niagara Escarpment for goodness sakes, so you would think that we'd be ready for a 1.5 hour hike to the Calanque. Wow, were we in for a surprise. ...
