Of course I needed to visit Luxembourg, hiding away there between France, Germany and Belgium. It is the fifith smallest country in the world. It is very hilly and surrounded by trees. The hostel is down at the bottom of a cliff, yay! The city of course is quite small, but it is surrounded by ruins and forest which makes it quite a unique city in amongst the hustle and crowds of all the other major cities. The people there speak French and their own language, Luxembourgish I suppose.

... irritating. What happened was we were supposed to have gotten on bus 9 from gate 6, we had gotten on bus 111. So we rode the 110 bus back to a stop that would get us on a 9 bus. And again we waited for quite a while and when the 9 bus did come, it was packed full so we couldn't have fit on there with all our luggage. So we decided to try to walk to our hostel. Hey All, We took a short train stop in Luxembourg City on our way through to Brussels. It was a really picturesque city with a green valley and a large fortress... but we spent most of our time in the Internet Cafe writing the last entry! We caught the 7pm train to Brussels to continue our journey!

... Casemates - tunnels and chambers dug to further fortify Luxembourg city. Saw Notre Dame church and walked along the park at the bottom of the valley where we found an old church built into the side of the hill. Luxembourg is a beautiful medieval valley.
