We actually had to step off the path pulling our suitcases and walk around them, although I refused to do this by the third group so I basically barrelled through them and knocked one of the women as I went (she wasn’t old or anything!) Self-focused people like that drive me crazy so I delighted in doing it!

Something I have learnt on this trip is that the Italians do not drench their pasta with sauce, the sauce is actually quite sparse.
