... heard some Luxemburgish music and I liked it. Conrad worked on the computer to map our route for tomorrow while Karyn and I chatted. Spoogy sat in her lap for a bit and then made his way to mine. He is a very sweet dog! We all went to bed at 11 pm. I stayed up for an hour more to upload pictures while making a tent with my blanket. I hid under it because it was warmer that way! I drifted off to sleep at midnight.<br>

Of course I needed to visit Luxembourg, hiding away there between France, Germany and Belgium. It is the fifith smallest country in the world. It is very hilly and surrounded by trees. The hostel is down at the bottom of a cliff, yay! The city of course is quite small, but it is surrounded by ruins and forest which makes it quite a unique city in amongst the hustle and crowds of all the other major cities. The people there speak French and their own language, Luxembourgish I suppose.

On Thursday I got up and walked the city of Speicher and looked at the whole town, it really isn't that big at all. It is a small city and most people either work on the Air Force Base or they drive to Bitburg or Trier to work. Anyways it was nice to see the small city and where my parents lived for a few years. ... was especially cool cause there was a sunday festival there. more people than i have seen in the whole 3 weeks here in luxembourg all there. it was very festive! we got take away burger and frites then i finally had a waffles! it was great and light and crispy with a little icing sugar then i had fresh churros!!! they were amazing im just stoked. i think i am defs done with europe. i am satisfied and i am leaving tomorrow at 5am looking forward to the american dream

... it was where I had said. The sign wasn't right according to my directions but I figured he knew better than I did. So we walked down the side walk until it ended a couple meters later. There was no good sign that this was in fact where we were supposed to be. So we went to the hotel to ask for directions and sure enough, w were in the wrong place. This time I went to eat at Quick and after I bought my ticket back to Belgium for tomorrow morning. After 25 min. of walk I'm back at the hostel where I'm stuck with some dumb ass slovakian... I'm going to sleep early.

... Casemates - tunnels and chambers dug to further fortify Luxembourg city. Saw Notre Dame church and walked along the park at the bottom of the valley where we found an old church built into the side of the hill. Luxembourg is a beautiful medieval valley.
