The hotel was right on the beach and my room had a ninety degree view of the ocean and it was wonderful to be able to hear the waves break onto the shore and smell the lovely salty air again. The taxi driver assured me that crime was non-existent and it was safe to walk around at any time of the day and night on my own. I certainly took advantage of that and enjoyed my evening walks along the beach pathways before and after ...

Another beautiful day. Sunny 78 degrees on the island of Rhodes. We travel to Lindos half way down the island. To see the Acropolis were Paul spoke to the Greeks. A long climb to the top with a view to forever. Just outstanding. Back to the boat early to catch some sun by the pool.

... all we could of the castle, we ventured outside the walls to go check out some ancient ruins. On the map, there was a big green park with some old ruins labeled, and it didn't look too far away. ... of little alleyways again and you realized that you had come back to where you started. It was fun and we spent about 4 hours in there and then walked back to the ship. Had a late lunch on the ship and went to our cabin to have our afternoon siesta and watched Get Smart on tv. We decided to have a day off the grog so watched the ship leave from deck 7 and headed to the Casino for a short time and then came home.

... our day over it was time to catch our ferry to Athens. On our budget we chose the cheapest ticket available. Which means "Deck." But unfortunately for us what we didn't realise was that this means it is the only place on board were you can smoke. So the rest of the night with the lights on and us trying to get a nights sleep on our hard plastic benches, we breathed in the refreshing air of smoke. Shona has now got a smokers cough.

This is going to be a tough couple of days.

we had two weeks all inclusive. meaing the food and drinks included
places visited lindos,perfkos, falraiki,rhodes and symi island. also
did a jeep safari tour on the island was great. sure was action!1
