... I wasn't impressed as we have similar at home. However certain individuals in the group convinced me to reach down & touch one, obviously ensuring it was the highest part of the barrier I had to lean over so I was off the ground before I could reach them, nearly falling in! ... s place and I stayed a few nights. Monique also loves biking so she called around to find a bike for all of us, and we all plus some more friends did a nightly 3-hour bike trip in Aracaju. Great!! Biking along the beaches at night. Unique experience!!

Some people advised me to check out Xingo Canyon. All pictures with this blog entry are from there, sadly I don't have any of Monique and the others, or Aracaju, because my camera started acting weird...

... to open their doors, proved useless and it was difficult to book to go anywhere. By our own efforts we found a bus from Neopolis (over the other side of the river by ferry) ... onto Aracaju for our next stop towards Salvador and Rio.
Penedo has plenty of cheap eating places all along the riverside; the fish is good, but all the places appear to have roughly the same menu! The town is good for a day and ...
