Jessica, the CLO at the centre got us a driver to take us to Dragon's Head, Qinhuangdao, where the Great Wall goes onto the sea. We left at 7am and got there at 12.30. The Dragon's Head is actually at Lanlongtuo. We drove through Qinhuangdao which is a bit 'back of beyond' and then arrived at an area they are developing into what looks like it will be a huge seaside / holiday home resort. The trip to the coast took two hours as the train was travelling an average of 155 kms per hour. The ride was so ...
... had built this part and we had fun walking around. We then sat back down on this side of the beach to soak up the sun... Joe and I discussed how the next time we will be on a beach will hopefully be a bit warmer!
We then began the long journey home and got back around 6 in the evening. Claire then made us some lovely Thai green curry and we watched some TV before bed.
