      ... previously and there was even traffic jams. That's where everyone in Belgium is! As I was coming into Leuven the sign for the town said "*******", so I wasn't sure what to expect ;) There was also graffiti of lego men on their signs, so someone is a comedian. Leuven is a university town. Although it's not massive there are 40,000 students and the quality of the university and the town is similar to Cambridge. With more bikes.

      ... its impressive and probably the towns number one tourist attraction. Originally built in the 1400s, it was bombed by French in 1695 and destroyed. All but the town hall was flattened. It was rebuilt five years later and that's what we saw standing. Of course it's still hundreds of years older than anything we see in Australia! Next we found the Manneken Pis.       Bruge has lovely canals, and lovely old churches and cute lane ways with specialty shops, and I found a beautiful Christmas shop which I spent ages in.. I adore Christmas shops.
