I find the longer I stay in London, the bigger and smaller it gets.
Bigger in the sense that there is always too much to go and see and never enough bloody time to do it all. But smaller in the fact that I don't need to do it all, and my world within London is small.
But my world for a split second crosses the paths of so many others, as I love people ...
... of St Magnus Martyr which Dave had come across in his genealogical research but it was still shut too. We went back to the Monument and climbed the 311 stairs without difficulty to be rewarded with magnificent views all around, it was another fine sunny day. There is a huge amount of construction and reconstruction going on in London, with cranes everywhere. ...
... the area, seeing the houses of Parliament and St. James' gardens, and everything along the way. We spent a long time staring at the guards in their fuzzy hats and overly polished boots, before we made it to Buckingham palace and saw more of the guards protecting it. As we were walking along The Mall (the street leading to the palace), we kept seeing young red-headed cyclists and convincing ourselves it was Harry picking up some milk ...
... was in our unit after all. Yay!! We were all too glad to finally change into some real pajamas instead of the same old thing. Tiffani and George agreed they needed to burn their clothes once they got them off of their bodies. Shay just felt relived, happy, ecstatic to have her hair products, and glad to be truly clean! Chloé felt "clean." Grant doesn't know how he felt.
We all slept better now that we felt fresh. Tomorrow, country number 2!

I do accept that all of this is part of the journey. I understand that every
tiny decision I have made led to the moments I have experienced from the moment
I got on the plane at Heathrow airport all those months ago. What if I hadn't
stayed in that place and met that person? Would I have travelled here? Would I
have had that conversation? Learnt that thing? Seen that view? Realised that?
