The Real Copenhagen
... pretty, although the al fresco restaurants there are outrageously expensive! We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue by the waterfront (she was a gift from J. C. Jacobsson, the founder of Carlsberg), and saw an outdoor photo exhibition called Wild Europe which had amazing National Geographic-esque nature photos. That’s about it for Copenhagen. Oh yeah, and it’s flatter than Saskatchewan.

The Madness that is May

I also made Shane Irish Bailey's truffles which received huge acclaim by all- so the cooking skills are improving im happy to announce haha And for Dave, I missed his farewell party because I burnt my bottom lip and chin quite badly with a thermos! I am such a retard =/ so we went to a small jazz bar the next night which was nice. Various others have recently left/leaving as well since the semester is practically finished.. sad times people, sad times!

Night before departure ...
Excitement for sure ... and lots of baggage : will be traveling with 2 backpacks, 1 big bag on trolley, 1 child carriage, 1 weekend-bed for Marie and 2 travel car seats!! Definitely not light! Kids are tense and we are pretty exhausted after the last 2 weeks hurdle to complete all tasks.

Copenhagen is almost as bike friendly as Amsterdam with bike lanes on most roads, dedicated street signals lights, and bikes are given priority by turning vehicles.
We did go to where the little mermaid was supposed to be, but as we had read, she wasn’t there! She has swum off to Singapore for a World Fair there, and in her place is a video screen (see photo) with her on display ...
