... packed, smelly and vibrant. The alley pushes and twists through the heart of the village, the shops pushing into the street and overflowing with stalls and food. We found some local street food to try, with varying success. One dish, which apparently is a Taiwanese delicacy, sounds wonderful. It is a dish of crushed ice with a choice of toppings and sauce... Well after a disastrous start yesterday today is looking much better. Sun is out cloudy but warm. Off to the beach in a bit n BBQ party later

Sat on the beach in the rain and it's still too hot, looking out on turtle island (see pic). Sarah is loving it (see pic) and Bea finally asleep and it's 3pm.

... Beckano goes in search of food, Beckano eats...and eats...and eats. So in the spirit of consistency, this entry will follow the same trend! Around the corner from Mudan House we discovered a simple food stand with a dozen or so local people gathered around heaping trays of food. A bright yellow sign hung overhead indicating a price of 100TND (approx USD $3) per tray. Despite our lack of Chinese language skills, we figured we would try to order up a nice lunch. ...
