I headed out to explore the Old Town and made my way to the town hall square. This weekend is the Capital Days festival, where they have music stages and food and craft stalls set up in squares and streets of old town. Vilnius was founded in 1323. We strolled through the old city (in the rain). The Jewish area was particularly interesting. ... to the Post Office where I mailed that book and several others Tomek had given me, along with a few gifts that people had given us. The Museum was wonderful. I was able to photograph several wooden synagogues done by other artists. Again while in the Museum, Rita sat us down and recounted more tales of the ghetto. We were spellbound.
