... bums.

Briefly back into Vilnius Cathedral and then carried on for about 1.5k to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul. This was truly baroque run wild. Some of the artistry is pagan. A boat-shaped chandelier harkened to St Peter as a fisherman. The longer I was there, the less I liked the overall effect as your eye cannot focus on anything due to the over the top baroque details.

... came out for a while. We had lunch at a snack type cafe on the lakeside and tried a meat pasty rather like a Cornish pasty with a pork filling. Very tasty. We drove back to Vilnius and Diane and I decided the visit to the KGB museum would be too upsetting also we have it a miss. ... day is April 1 (for obvious reasons), their national flag has a picture with a hand with a hole in the centre to show that even if you hold your hand in front of your face in disbelief, you can still each other and what is going on. They even have a constitution and… wait for it…four warning/traffic signs.

East Europeans don’t smile much as they had 70 years of suffering and nothing to smile about and still rarely smile (I am serious) ...
