... dead on time, these European public transport systems are very efficient! ... so too; by the end of the movie, I was thoroughly bitten up.

Sleep was a long time coming, as the events of the day caught up with me. Also, there was a wedding being hosted next door, with a live band and a DJ that was going full on until about 2 in the morning. I didn't actually mind; the band was great, and they played a mix of party music and Lithuanian folk music, and it was nice to listen to people celebrating a happy occasion that was miles away from how I was feeling.

... upon...(not sure by who) so they had to be a bit subtle about it. One ploy was known as a "wet" cell, it's a standard cell that has a waterproof floor,the floor is then flooded with freezing water. In the middle of the cell is a small platform for the prisoner to stand on, and there they stayed for days on end, and if they fall asleep they fall into the water. The cells are obviously unheated so all in all torture by another name....

... little flowers and it smells gorgeous. For a capital city campsite this one is very quiet and restful. Today is a public holiday so we were unsure how much would be open. We needn't have worried. Although some normal shops were closed, all the tourist facilities including restaurants were ready, willing and able to serve you.
