... was brought to Lithuania by the wife of a Duke many years ago as she was Italian and so brought her own chefs! Therefore we felt that on our last night we should "dine like Dukes"! On our walk back to the hostel we stopped at the local supermarket for an ice cream; clearly we had the same thought as many of the locals! Now the bar scene was great, considering it was "the end of the world" at midnight and all. Lithuanians really like playing The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, I hear it constantly. ... in the Old Town. It was located in an interesting building and we seemed to go through a rabbit warren of passages heading downwards before we were seated. It was a very atmospheric space, though as Len pointed out we wouldn’t have had any chances to get out if there was a fire. As I am writing this at a later time, obviously there was no fire.
