    Day 47-

    It was a challenging walk today, but luckily my foot was doing much better. I was able to handle the hills and rocky trails very well. This trail would have been nearly impossible for me two days ago. For most of the day we were right behind the three guys from the night before, and when they stopped for breaks, we would run into them.

    Day 46 –

    Today, we could really see the mountains off in the distance, and it really made me realize how close I am to my goal. Unfortunately, the morning walking was difficult. I was in pain for about the first two hours. My foot was very stiff. Once it had finally warmed up, I was able to walk at a more normal pace without pain.

    It also didn't help that we missed our turn onto the trail, and we were forced to walk down a very dangerous highway ...

    About 10 km east of Biarritz is Bayonne, both the capital of the Basque region and the chocolate capital of France.
