      ... I tried to get my surf skills down but the improvement is very little, Sahid instead had a blast with the great swell that was around. I think after months of not having touched the ocean or board, my smaller/new board, the cold weather and putting on a wet wetsuit is not working in my advantage.       ... we had lunch. Crossed into France again. We had been paying motorway tolls all day in Spain, and now had to pay our share to France! Very trying and expensive at times. Noted the road signs are still in two languages- now French and Basque. Arrived at our camp for the night in the small town of Orhez. Needed to try our poor French again but we managed.       ... people of many nationalities here, and all ages. I am relieved to report I am not the oldest! I'm feeling fabulous, happy, looking forward to discovering Biarritz tomorrow.       ... Hannah was purchasing an item and instead of speaking in french, the person said, "do you want a bag for this?" Hannah turned to me and said, "they dont even try with us. They know we are totally helpless in that area." We got that in several stores we went into. The loud Americans are here everyone!!
