Blustery time in Biarritz.
... so jackets were a must. Our drive towards Biarritz took us through the lovely Basque country with it's forests and hilly/mountainous landscapes. Many of the villages were at the bottom of deep gorges. Yet high on hills, one could see properties surrounded by grassy hills where sheep or cattle grazed. Biarritz & Bayonne

Cycled in to Biarritz the next day to explore the town. Small cove with some very expensive houses and an aquarium perched right on the edge of the bay.
Surfers can be seen along the bay, watched by the shoppers in town. Large waves can be seen hitting the sides of the road and reaching some 100m up in the air.
Spent the next few days here surfing.
