    ... us down a teeny tiny road, bless him he thought it was a quicker that way! Ok this was supposed to be a 4 hr trip, it's now 3.30pm and were still stuck in Bordeaux at least an hour N half away from our destination. The traffic is horrific worse than the M25 on a Friday rush hour. Our only entertainment was watching 2 dogs in the back of the car in front taking it in turns to bark at 2 ...

    ... evening but ere were a lot of homeless soles hanging around begging so u had decided - hoping that during the day they would have moved on. Unfortunately they were still t here but I walked in with another group of people - safety in numbers. After the cathedral I tried to locate the petting court. There were students everywhere - when a school bell went they all moved only like the two schools in the area - one was a hospitality school but I am not sure town at the other one ...

    We both emerge into the pouring rain to unhitch the trailer, push it out of the way, so, I can turn the van around in what seems like a ten point turn. Then re-hitch the trailer, and drive back to the point where we went wrong.
    There follows nine miles in torrential rain, along narrow roads through the forest.

    ... fruit and chocolate, yummy and I finally got around to trying fresh crepes!!

    Mutriku and the surrounding villages are part of the Basque region, so I think there was also a lot of Basque Spanish being spoken. It seemed to be that 99% of the population are very traditional and don't speak english. I met three people in the village who talked some English, only one of them I was able to hold a conversation with. So it was a place quite off the tourist map, ...
