cycled to Bordeaux through some great country. I won't bore you with the details. I did slip up though. I hadn't had any lunch as i hadn't found anywhere suitable and about 40k from Bordeaux i saw a sign for a Mcdonalds, i think it said something like 10k near the autoroute or something similar. ... if I do say so myself and everyone appeared to eat their plates clean. We drank a Bordeaux wine we found at the store for €2.50 and had some Hennessy cognac as an after meal taster. It was a nice finish to the meal and Pierre explained at each region has their own digestive alcohol as they call it.
