    ... day Sunday with coffees and pan chocolar to start the day, buy the cheeses, buy the palma ham, buy the salad ingredients, wonder around the old part of the town, then back to the boat with our loot for lunch. We have managed to put up a canopy (gazebo) over the outside area of our boat, to keep the sun off. We are sitting out there now, writing this blog, and Amanda writing e-mails.     ... fairy floss! Next we went to another wine cellar - the Marche aux vins. Mum and Dad got to try some great wines in the cellar. We then went back to the hotel and had dinner.     ... sure had tastings. Burgundy had lots of Pinot Noirs and some C******nay, and we bought a bottle of each. We headed home, tired and a bit rainy, but we've probably had 2-3 rainy days in the 40 or so days that have passed. We tucked into another French classic beuf bourguignon which we hope wasn't horse, but im pretty sure was beuf (only French people appeared to eat here, and we thought they wouldn't have time to slow cook horse for tourists).     ... had so many great things! Boy the cheese aisle itself was difficult to walk away from! We stocked up on supplies, including tonight’s dinner. We had noticed these great salad packs with cold meat, egg, pasta salad etc so we bought two of those and some extra cheese, also some bowls and cereal. There seem to be a lot of great accommodation deals when breakfast is not included, so we will probably start booking some of those.

    The small town of Beaune! This city was a very nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Paris and Versailles. The charm of Beaune is that it is in the middle of wine country here in France. There are vineyards that stretch for miles around the borders of the town.
