... leaving that they seemed to catchup just as our coach was leaving, a little late though. We then had a couple of hours drive to Avignon, the home of the papacy during the 13th century. As we arrived we saw the Pont d' Avignon, a bridge that fell down halfway across and was never rebuilt. Day 2

We had to get up early. Our alarm didn't go off because we had it set for 6 pm. Lucky I woke up at 6:15.

We had a very nice breakfast. It was buffet but you could also order other things, like Eggs Benedict.

The bus left at 8 am. They had seats reserved for me in the second row.

We drove to Beaune, the Wine Capital of Burgandy approximately a 45 minute drive. First we went to a ...

... The Leffe Blonde is available in Australia and is one of Kev's favourite beers. In order to combat the lack of fridge problem Kev found a hiding spot for a 750ml bottle of Leffe Royale behind a lot of iced tea that was in a small drinks fridge and just hoped there wasn't a rush on iced tea purchases that afternoon. After our breakfast we went to the tourism office where we enquired about bike hire and were pointed in the direction of the two bike hire shops in Beaune. We ...
