... today; destroying bone with acid. The best part of the week was this past weekend, where I went to Portsmouth to race Sunsail Sun Fast 37s in the four race regatta in the Solent. Having been brought up racing and cruising on sailboats, I was surprised how much more there is to think about sailing in a place that has tides. Tides aside, it was a wonderful weekend. My crew and I finished 6th in our last race and 9th overall, with 44 boats registered ...

... and meeting up with friends working at the 'Rocket' festival near Granada. A final munt(party) for a couple of weeks will be in order, before winding my way through Europe during the summer. Well my rucksack is packed and it feels far too heavy. There's everything from waterproofs and gloves to swim-shorts and sunblock. Not to mention several months worth of anti-malarial pills. Anyway, its an early start tomorrow to catch the coach to Heathrow at 5am. With a little bit of luck I'll be in Quito tomorrow evening. See you in 12 months!
