Once again today the sun was shining when we woke so we decided to take advantage of the good weather & go to the Open Air Museum "Freilichtmuseum der Schweiz" at Ballenger.
This was very close to where we were staying & everyone ( even the customs officer at the airport) had said it was somewhere we must visit. It is like a Pioneer Museum in Australia, but on a much bigger scale. Several old buildings ...

... there the journey looks amazing and sure enough it is.

Soon it's the end of the line and we arrive into the small station at the cliff town of Murren. This town is yet another that is totally free of traffic and so is just wonderful walking along its wonderfully kept streets. Every house and building is beautifully decorated and the gardens are all very well kept.

... leg room is awesome...easy to chill and relax. Although it was annoying that wifi wasn't included. After a couple of hours we arrived in Basel and made our way to our connecting train.

... up the mountain, passing incredible views of the snow covered peaks and appreciating a drop in temps as we climb. You are sweating in the first hundred feet. ... this evening at a campsite just up the road, looking forward to the free beer! Buwan left for Zurich this evening, after we had dinner in town. Also, this place is a hub for adventure sports, I'm trying out a tandem paraglide tomorrow morning :D Canada day celebrations were awesome!
