... safe, but otherwise it was blissfully quiet except for cow-bells and passing trains. A local woman was strolling along picking wild mushrooms to take home, quite idyllic. As we strolled back down from Kleine Scheidegg, train after train chugged past us up towards the Jungfraujoch - and we decided that at SFr 250 a trip, the Swiss Railways are a licence to print money!

... Beautiful mountains, massive waterfalls in every direction and amazing green valleys. We changed from the gondola, to one more small train and arrived in little Murren and the Hotel Alpina. Paige, Carl and Kyle were already checked in and having lunch next to another gondola a couple of blocks from the hotel. We sat on the patio and got caught up on their travels (Amsterdam and Berlin), then went back to the hotel for a small rest.

... Rather than heading back out, we spent the next few hours catching up on some episodes of Breaking Bad (our new favourite show) and waited for the bus. We got picked up just after 5.30 and were on the bus for a quick hour long ride to Lauterbrunnen. We remembered the picturesque views you get as you drive into the area and between the Alps, but unfortunately it was a bit rainy this evening and most of the peaks were covered by cloud.
