... boat into shore just before 9am to see the first races. There was a Porsche race first then Formula Renault. I was in time for both. I didn't however get there in time to secure a good spot. For that I would've had to arrive days in advance. I only bought the general admission ticket which allows you up on the hill in a standing area. The trouble is that people come with their deck chairs and hammer them in early.

... to the boardwalk and ate our ice cream while looking at the calm water and crowded pebble beach. We slowly walked back to the hotel, about 15 minutes away. There is a underpass with blue lighting that makes Dmitriy nauseous, it must be perceived colorblindness. He will get to enjoy that experience every night when we walk home. ... one of the best in Italy sporting many of the old masters from before the fifteenth century. Rick sussed the location after a bit of walking which was good because the art gallery building itself is a true art work with many marble statues, grand courtyards and covered walkways.
