Stage one of our journey...arrived at Bristol bus station (an hour early). Having a coffee and a blueberry muffin to keep us going until we get to the airport. I found one of Tilly's cat hairs on my trousers and felt a bit emotional and homesick already. But it's cold and raining here in Bristol City centre, so I'm sure when the 36 degree heat of Bangkok hits me I will forget all about the ...

Finally, today's the day! We fly tonight from Heathrow. This morning will be spent finishing off final bits of packing-checking what's packed, unpacking it and repacking it! The house will have a final quick clean to leave it tidy for our house guests Tim and Hannah, amble food will be laid out for the cats, Adam will spend ages pretending to tie up all the loose ends of work and I will faff around deciding which shoes to wear to the airport. Then we will be on our ...

'IMPORTANT' NOTE: I will post a video on this blog next week. Stay tuned for a video of highlights of my life! ...

Went to an Antiques Emporium and saw a shed full of rubbish, probably a bit harsh, so I rephrase that, a shed full of undesirable large items and rubbish. Headed to Stroud town centre and got our best paid parking spot in the UK so far, £2.80 for all day near Stroud Station, which is 5 minutes from town central. There was an interesting charity shop with nice wooden carvings. I asked if they had a carved ...

... us back just 18. It was a warm summer day and England looked really beautiful. We listened in on people's conversations, relishing being able to understand them, and enjoyed simple conversations with the rail staff.

We had lovely home comings with our respective families, celebrated birthdays, reunited with our camper van and managed to catch up with a few friends - so our bed count continued to rise for a while longer. We pulled our belongings out ...
