More in hope than anticipation ...

... and my heart is thrilled but leaving a 19 year old cat to be intermittently cared for by others is definitely not fair. Dad has a good and currently functioning care package. K is able to manage without me at a pinch.

I have plans to visit Copenhagen (due this month but that's not going to happen now, sadly). London is a day trip away and eminently doable. If I get to Plan B (a van) I will have a lot more freedom of movement ...

Week 6 - Back to school...

As you could probably guess from the title of this entry, I went back to school last week. *plays sad music* In less depressing news, how is it in Australia? Nice and sunny and warm? Today I will travel by bus back to the nest of Rosemary, and there turn the page to see what is next.

Went to an Antiques Emporium and saw a shed full of rubbish, probably a bit harsh, so I rephrase that, a shed full of undesirable large items and rubbish. Headed to Stroud town centre and got our best paid parking spot in the UK so far, £2.80 for all day near Stroud Station, which is 5 minutes from town central. There was an interesting charity shop with nice wooden carvings. I asked if they had a carved ...

... don't it must be the same as normal.

Landing at Heathrow, we took the Heathrow Connect to Paddington.. a cheaper alternative to the Heathrow Express and only 15 mins longer ride.

At Paddington we headed straight for Costa for our now British ritual - a skinny latte and mozzerella, tomato and basil panini. For some reason lattes taste better in England - it must be the milk.

    We brought two ...
