There was a storm heading our way.

It rained a bit on the road back to the highway. But, no rain in Riggins!

After we got back, Jerry washed the Jeep (of course) and I lounged outside reading my Kindle. Tough, huh? We're headed for Oregon tomorrow. Not sure where we'll end up!

Wow. The day isn't even over yet and it's been a wonderful one so far. Scott and I woke up to an empty house- today was the day that we'd leave for his dad's cabin in McCall. We swiftly ate breakfast- granola with raspberries, blueberries, and banana slices. Afterwards, we packed our bags. How sweet is Scott. His gentle touches on the hip or shoulder as he walks by me. We have been here five days and are leaving tomorrow morning, heading towards Reno, Nevada. Five days just isn't enough time to visit Jil's brother and his wife and her Mom let alone do much exploring. It snowed last Wednesday night and Thursday morning although ...

... Highway 55 will take us to McCall. We purchase a caffe latte for my sweetie and let our furry friends take a much deserved stretch.

That portion of Highway 55 five miles east of New Meadows is not on my favorites list. It follows a narrow canyon up to McCall. As such, the road is also very narrow, very windy- and very steep. The speed limit is 35 mph through this slot with curves posted at 30 mph. Our truck is pretty strong but has trouble maintaining more than ...

... Even though we had to push ourselves today, we found the driving quite easy as we had taken the back roads sort of speak. The roads are still big but not as busy as the motorways. After 11hours we finally made it to Jay and Lynda Smithmans condo at McCall. It is right on a lake edge and in a resort area. We have enjoyed a good yarn tonight but the day has caught up on us and sleep is inevitable. This is the last of our huge travelling days - ...
