      Me, Tamara, Carmen, and their grandma spent the past week in Langeoog. It is pretty small island, but it has been so much fun. The island doesn't allow cars so we have to bike everywhere, and it is honestly a nice change. It's very peaceful here and the beach is so beautiful. Yes, it is in the North Sea, so the water was freezing but we still went swimming and had such a great time. I definitely hope to come back and vacation ...

      ... It is raining and not worth trying to get to much further today so we eventually find a nice little village on a river called Varel. We park right over the road from the river and our view is of an old yacht.
      The area is a very large inlet, but it is also very flat and so the boats have to go thru a lock to get out into the open sea.
