Leaving on a jet plane.

A travel blog entry by philji on Dec 10, 2014

... lovely flight, good seats, nice food and on a half empty plane loads of room. However another delay, due to weather conditions we could not land and had to circle the city for well over an hour, but we did have great views of the mighty Himalayas. Through the airport into a taxi and drove to Boudhanath through a very smoggy city. Our guest house is right in the heart of Boudha, just minutes from the Great Stupa and after settling in I left Jess to rest whilst I went a ...

We bid a fond farewell to Penzance and the lovely June and Stuart who gave us such a warm welcome at the Ashton Guesthouse and wended our way north to Ilfracombe. They ...

... I was there about 9.30 and it didn't open until 10, but it gave me a chance to take some photos outside. They opened the cafe about 945, so I went and stood in there with everyone else who was early. Finally 10 rolled around and they let us queue up. I got in with the first group of the day for the interactive adventure. It was very exciting, and I loved it. After going though the adventure, it goes out to the museum part. The first stop was the ...

... calls, comments, physio, verbal support abuse and so on. Without all this I would not have finished this run today. It really has made a big difference; if the run were just for me I am not certain I would have come back after the dissapointment of the Salcombe Slip. And days 23 to about 27 were especially tough too. But thanks for keeping me going.

Look out for more details over the next couple of weeks and hellos and thanks to guys I meet on the path.
