... and then a shower. Next stop was Watertown where daughter Bernadette, Gabe, Veronica and Seamus live. She had made a wonderful dinner – something called sausage and peppers, in a big hot dog bun, and a salad with spinach, watermelon, and a few other things. Both VERY good. We had a nice visit and shy Veronica played catch ball with me for a long time. And back home. We then packed our bags for the trip tomorrow.

I truly did have a great time and would recommend Boston to everyone as there are many different things to do. It's certainly one of the best places I have ever been to, in terms of being clean, friendly, safe, relaxing and historical.

I have added some photo's for you to all see.

... the bridge and wandered around Beacon Hill, Theater,Ladder (?),and Downtown districts. Stopped off at The Four Fields Irish Bar for a couple of beers and as soon as we got out it got very windy then poured down.But it was very warm and bearable. Wandered round a bit more before finding Stoddards, a bar/restaurant done up in dark wood and whose bar was made in West Yorkshire.Had a couple more in there and walked back to ...

... only that, but the time from taxiing on the runway, disembarking, security check, baggage claim, finding a taxi and the taxi ride across the city took an amazingly brief 50 minutes.
Our home for the next two weeks was to be in Brookline, a separate municipality from Boston, but just 4 miles from Boston city centre which we could reach easily by a 20 minute subway ride. Brookline is where JFK grew up.
