Brisbane to Mooloolaba
Mooloolaba in the sunshine coast. We came here for the sun and the chance to go to Australia zoo (you know... the one where Steve Irwin worked). In Mooloolaba I met up with an old colleague I used to work with at Goldman Sachs in 2001 who had flewn from London to OZ for a week's hols. Anyway, was great to catch up with Derek and, again, cheers for …
To Mooloolaba & Family
Not the best nights sleep - top bunk of a wobbly bunk with no railing. Woke up in the night and actually thought I was on a boat for a minute! Got up and sorted for a 9.30am check out. Said my goodbyes to the guys and headed for my bus. 5 hour journey to Mooloolaba where my family live. Spent it listening to music mainly. Was so excited to get off the bus and see my mum, dad, auntie & uncle. Pulled into the bus station and were they there with a welcome parade? No. ...

Cool wreck dive
Along the way we passed a seaside town, Mooloolaba, where we heard about an interesting wreck dive: the HMAS Brisbane. Luckily the second dive shop still had two spots for the next day, so we booked it and then went to the nearest campsite, next to a beautiful rainforest where we had a walk, until we realized the mozzies even bit through our clothes and then ...
