Then I realised that there were boots on shelves around the restaurant which is called "Little Boots". I'm glad it was called Little Boots and not Wellington Boots - I'd be still there trying to finish off the contents of my welly! Tomorrow we head off north to Mackinac Island. Should be ...

... son, Jake came to visit and it was so nice to put faces to names. Jonathan has talked about everyone, so it was lovely meeting them. After chatting for a while I saw a message from my cousin Shirley who sent information about my Great Grandmother who is buried in Calumet. Shirley had to get my cousin, Tom to send things as she is on holiday in Alicante :-) I showed Aunt Carol who seemed ...

We have laughed, laughed so hard we cried, sewed A LOT, offered and accepted quilting advice, shared many stories of our lives, sewed some more, played quilt ...

... sailing off the tube more times than you could count. My body hurt for them! Fishing trip in the late morning landed nothing. Starting to wonder if there are fish in this lake! It was warm and sunny all day. Surprise.... No trips to the store today! The little ones took up a mean game of badminton in the afternoon. Katie and McKenna are packing to leave bright and early ...

Most days begin and end with island music playing over the speakers inside and out. Never get tired of it. Breakfast has turned to brunch now. Most of us are out walking or running the island every morning as soon as we get up. Nice way to start the day. Opted for a Pontoon boat ride late morning. McKenna was our captain. We toured the lake and dreamed about which cabin we wanted to own. While we ...
