... bar crossing on the high tide, enjoy the two hour cruise to Southport and anchor off Currigee Beach for the evening. Our six month cruise up the East Coast has begun.

The boat is booked into the Boat Works until the following Tuesday. The boat is lifted out of the water and placed on the hardstand. Neville, with the help of Marcus and Frank antifouls the hull and has the props checked in preparation for the cruise. All is in excellent order .... of course.

The surf hasn't played ball and we've been stuck in a northerly wind for 2 weeks which has made it a bit mushy and...well...Witteringish! After two weeks at Mudjimba Beach Caravan park we have only one more week and we will start our adventure. After what seems like an eternity we are finally getting ready to leave. All the legal matters are done and dusted, Centrelink forms are being completed (in triplicate) ready to apply for the pension. So far after two weeks in the van we haven't found anything we have forgotton.
    Let the adventure begin.
