    It’s Friday morning. Nanette and I are off to Brisbane to spend the day with Peter and Alex, part of our extended Canadian family. The guys are only here for a couple of days and we promised to show them a good time – but - it’s raining. No problem, we’ll just wing it and see what happens.

    After pushing the miles for the last week, and bush camping, we decided a couple of days by the coast were needed, so have ended up in Toorbul, a stone's throw from Bribie Island. The tides are big (compliments of the full moon) but the water is like a mill pond. Fantastic variety of birds (both waterbirds and bush birds) and roos that roam the whole town and come right to the esplanade/waterfront.
