Vanuatu Sensory Overload

A travel blog entry by karensnare

After a two day crossing we arrived in Vanuatu! What a special place! We only had ten days here so we were on the move to get in as much as we could. I think the best way to explain our journey is to break it down into days with brief descriptions. Here we go.. Anyway, in the complete rammy that it was I played in my usual right back position, occasionally jumping into centre-mid, and by the end of the game I think I managed to create some sort of shape resembling a football team. It didn't help having a major language barrier to overcome, now I know what it must be ...

... Apparently, my face was an absolute picture. The plane would best be described as a tin can with wings. It was tiny! We climbed aboard through a side door and took my seat, with my head scraping the roof. It was a bit disconcerting that the pilot made us put life jackets on before we had even set off! We set off, landed and all was fine. It did however, give me a healthy dose of adrenaline for the day, but more was to come! We arrived at our hotel for the overnight stay, and ...
