      Overall Good vacation hotel

      from

July 4, 2004, my family and I visited for the first time Panama City and stayed at Beachbreak By the Sea. The hotel overall was good but the rooms were not what I expected and although we asked for an upper floor room, we received a room on the bottom floor. I would recommend this hotel for other visitor, and I liked the virtual tour online that I viewed before our stay.

      Bad experience!!!!!

      from

When we checked in we were immediately put on the cabana level which I had requested upper floor with a balcony. I showed the reservation to the girl at the front desk and she said there wasn't one available until the next day. BUT, a few hours after someone had entered our room and taken all our cash there was a room available. The Police was called and a report done BUT, they didn't even question any of the people by the pool, in neighboring rooms or anything. They said we should file it on our home owners insurance! What a joke. The suitcases weren't gone through or anything. They new we had cash. I PAID FOR THE ROOM IN CASH! I will not be vacationing in Panama City ever again!

      Enjoyed our stay very much

      from

My husband and I got into town on an early Sunday morning in April with no reservations. Our first stop was the Beachbreak. Jamie who was working the desk told us it would probably be a couple of hours before we could get a room if they would have any at all . we went and had breakfast and came back to a great room. Very clean and great view of water. Would tell anyone to stay here.

      Great Place to Stay

      from

We had originally planned to stay somwhere else and that places turned out to be a total disaster. We check into Beachbreak and the rooms were affordable and very nice! A group of girls went and we had a blast. We had a room on the bottom level facing the pool and the beach. It was a great place to stay and recommend it to anyone. The pool was a little cold... but the jacuzzi thing was nice! Staff were friendly and willing to help!

      Wonderful Vaction

      from

Our family lodged at the Beachbreaker 2 weeks ago. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The facility was extremely clean and the staff extremely nice. We will return again later this year.

      Horrible, Horrible Experience

      from

During Labor Day Week-end 2003, I had the most horrible experience at this motel. I was suppose to receive a refund for one night's stay.

However, as of today, December 17, 2003, I did not get compensated.

Even the Better Business Bureau did not follow-up thoroughtly on my complaints. NOT RECOMMENDED! DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS THERE.

      Horrible experience

      from

If you want a hotel worth your money, DO NOT stay here!!!! The hotel web site said that the hotel had just been fully remodeled, what a joke! If anything had been remodeled, it must have been the lobby because everything else was filthy and rundown. Don't waste your money and ruin your vacation!!!!!!!

      Nice, family place to stay

      from

The Beachbreak by the Sea was a pleasant surprise. For a hotel "on the beach", the rooms were much cleaner than expected. The photos on the website were true to life. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeping staff. There were many other families there at the time so there were no problems with parties, loud music, etc that you expect to hear when staying at a beach hotel. This property is in a great location if you like to be near the activities on the "strip" but far enough away that you don't have to deal with the constant traffic moving all night long. We will stay here again when vacationing at Panama City Beach.

      Nice place to stay

      from

My family and I stayed four nights in a suite. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. The only thing that kept it from being a perfect visit was that the pool was so cold. We couldn't play in the Gulf waters, because of the undertow.

The first two days we were there, the sky was very overcast, and several thunderstorms rolled through the area, so the water in the pool never warmed up. We couldn't stay in the pool very long, but the spa was nice. Problem is, EVERYONE wanted to be in the spa at once! Kids were jumping and splashing in the spa, because they couldn't play in the chilly pool for more than a few minutes at a time. We asked that the pool heater be turned on, but were told that the pool is only heated on sunless (HELLO!) days or later in the year. Also, at one point, a teenage boy put something in the spa water that caused suds to build up, and the maintenance worker who came down to the deck was rather rude to my husband about it. I believe that he thought my husband had done something to the water!

      Loved the Beachbreak

This is a very nice hotel. Great location on the beach. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub was also nice

We also tried on and bought a new mask and snorkel to replace the one left in the Dominican Republic. The spare we had and tried when snorkeling in Statia just didn't fit right and made snorkeling miserable. Better to get a good mask that fits ...

... planned to do the same on Saturday morning but the wind shifted and increased so we decided to walk instead. We have been walking pretty reguarly 4-5 miles per day and this one was about 5.5 miles. The rain began shortly after our return and has not let up except for a few minutes here and there. Saturday I went out to refill water, and see another movie then got back early.

Today (Sunday), it is pouring rain off and ...

It was hard trying to leave because as soon as someone heard our accents they always wanted to know where we were from and all seemed impressed with our drive across country.Things really fell apart when the barmaid shouted the bar with something she called Liquid Marijuana. Thats all i've got to say on that but a good night was had by all.

... couple of hours at the beach I headed back to camp and grabbed a bite to eat, leftover burgers was perfect to satisfy my hunger. I took advantage of the shade at the campsite and lurked around there for a while before heading back over to brave the beach. I basically got straight into the water and floated around for a bit, it was so relaxing until I got surrounded by hundreds of little fish. There was so many they were literally hitting my ankles. This was very ...

This morning we got up and grabbed a bite of breaky before meeting up with the group ready for a big drive day. Luckily the morning was fairly broken up because we stopped for a food stop and then continued onto the swamp tour. The last time I did this tour there wasn't many big gators around so it was nice when we stopped off in one of the bayous to be completely surrounded by adolescent gators. There was probably about 8 all around us and the tour guide was feeding them ...
