... a rollercoaster, and for me emotionally too. It went a bit like this:

'**** this is really bumpy and it's a very small boat are we going to fall out and die?'
'ok we're not going to fall out, this is actually quite fun'
(after 3ish hours) 'ow this hurts my bum now'
(having moved seats) 'ok this is fun again'
'they said the journey would be 3 hours but it feels like its been 4 already and there's no sign of the island... how does ...

These places were literally on the beach, now more than 5-10 meters from the waves, unbelievable. The only downside was the wind, constantly blowing, making the water chopping and in my opinion not super inviting. But hey, we wandered in anyways!! Further around towards the north east was a resort ...

... and snakes (and the occasional chicken) along the way. According to the locals, there are no poisonous spiders or snakes on the island. Good thing, cuz we saw LOTS of both. We felt like the only people on the island. Finally, the path emerged onto another part of the coast on the northern part of the island. We started walking along the beach in hopes that it would take us back to our beach/hotel, but ran into many rocks and deep water along the way, ...

... Rock. This time when we go back up, we bid farewell to the rocks and make a rather bumpy ride home.

I throw some clothes on and head around to other side of the island and run into Bex who had just finished her own dive. We stroll down the beach to the Turned Turtle for a fantastic lunch of fish tacos and the most amazing pina colada I have ever experienced. Seriously. There were chunks of fresh ...
