Beach House At Hermosa Hermosa Beach

My wife and I along with 2 children stayed for 1 night and I can't even begin to describe how wonderful this place is, front desk was great along with the view, definitly breathtaking.

What a hotel! I was very suprised to find such a luxury hotel in Hermosa. Better than the Ritz! The hotel staff, more-over the Front Desk was great. We will be back again and again. Thank you for such a nice weekend!

Absolutely the best for a Southern CA beachfront retreat. Reserve your room early, and be sure to ask for an oceanview room. A hop over a low wall from a ground floor room has you across the strand and on to Hermosa Beach or if you'd rather people watch, the Strand is the place. Great restaturants, bars, and trendy shops are in the area, and the entire hotel staff from the manager to the maids are friendly and will do their very best to make your stay enjoyable.

We love the Beach house - great location, great room - very romantic. Also, try the Mediterraneo on the strand. The food was great, and so was the service. The Irish pub on the corner had such terrible service that we left & went to Mediterraneo, which was so good that we went back for lunch the next day!

'Hermosa' is the Greek word for Love and when you stay here you too will fall in love,friendly staff,nice rooms and not far at all from the beach also within a easy walk to beautiful Manhattan beach.

While making arrangements to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary at the Beach House in Hermosa (last April), I was asking the manager about the different views and room rates. When he heard it was our 25th anniversary - he not only acknowledged the special milestone, he automatically upgraded us to an ocean view room!! He also suggested excellent restaraunts and things to do and see in the area. He was genuinely happy to provide information that allowed us to plan a truly memorable anniversary.



The rooms and service at the Beach House are top notch! In fact, we have a return trip booked for July!



The location of the Beach House is 15 minutes from LAX. It's a snap to get to a dodgers game as well as to the port for a day trip to Catalina. Bike and skate rentals are right next door! The beach and strand are right outside your door. We have not found a better value for a great beach getaway.

Spent 3 nights here in January prior to a cruise from LA to Sydney. A great place to unwind and recover from jet lag--right on the beach and the excellent path for jogging and walking. Continental Breakfast (included) was excellent and you could either eat in the breakfast room or carry it back to your room. Nice set up for heating up take-out food or making tea/coffee. Excellent bed, roomy area for watching tv (2 tvs!). Hermosa is very laid back and has some good restaurants--very close to Manhattan Beach for a bit more lively nightlife. Staff was very helpful. We had a room with a partial view of the ocean but if money is not an object I would go for the full view.

From what I've heard, this is the best place in Hermosa Beach. We were visiting a friend in Hermosa and just spent two nights there.

I booked an oceanfront room, and the view was phenomenal. We really were right on the beach.

The location is great. We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping.

The room was nice. I've stayed in better rooms, but it was certainly good value for the price.

The service was pretty good overall, but it was uneven. The front desk clerk on duty when we checked in was excellent. Most of the valet parking people were also excellent. However, there were a couple of employees who just seemed somewhat indifferent. There wasn't anyone blatantly rude, though.

Also, we ordered a room service lunch. The card on the tray stated that we could call the front desk for pick-up of our dirty dishes after lunch. I did that, and the front desk indicated that they'd send somebody right up. However, no one ever showed up. (The dishes were still there when we checked out the next morning.)

Nonetheless, I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in Hermosa Beach again.

No reservations, had never heard of the place, just wandering through and literally ended up at its front door. Went in to check rates, not cheap, but well worth every penny. Had a bed I could hardly get out of it was so comfortable, and the bathroom was big enough for a couple to use at the same time. The living room and fireplace added an extra oomph to the evenings on the deck overlooking the ocean. No doubt this is the place to stay. And the attendants were just as nice as the room and stay. (Reminded me of the W hotels)

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The valets were all more than helpful and nice, the front desk staff was superb, the room was beautiful. We could not have asked for a better experience. If we had it to do again, we'd stay there without hesitation.
