... the most unique thing we saw was the set of tapestries that had been made by the different parish communities to celebrate the history of Guernsey, as the new Millenuim project. They were beautifully made and displayed. Our early to bed philosophy (for last night, anyway) paid off in dividends today, as we were up with the guernseys, so to speak, at 6:30. After our breakfast of champions, we were off on a tender for shore. It's a short day here in Guernsey with All Aboard at 1:30 pm. This island of Guernsey is 24 miles square and makes its money from banking. Apparently there are a lot of wealthy people around here! We didn't run into or get run over by any of them ...

Guernsey (Channel Islands) in July is spectacular with every nook and cranny being planted with hanging baskets and other floral displays...it was quite magical. We were blessed to have four days of perfect weather and hardly saw a cloud in all the time here - it was pleasantly warm without being too hot.
