      ... path leading to pirates cave. After lunch he was determined to do this, I let him go and got comfy by the pool. He arrived back an hour or so later, extremely sweaty, mumbling something about 189 lung busting steps. He says the tread on the steps was double the normal size. So glad I didn't go.       Well today was the end of the Italian part of our trip, and the start of the very small French part. We left Sardinia on a ferry at 3.30 this afternoon. We've done a lot of ferries this trip..Lake Como ( about 4 or 5), mainland Italy to Sardinia, Sardinia to Corsica. Its really second nature to me now driving on and off boats.       ... The only time it's good not to speak French. We chose to stay in the southern part of Corsica as that is where the beaches and mountains are supposed to be the most spectacular. We are really happy with our choice of Santa Giulia which is a few kms south of Porto Vecchio. It really is as stunning as the travel sites show; white sand beaches, clear warm aqua waters with mountains in the background. Almost Caribbean like! But less green & ...

      ... They were tryingto entice their SON to eat his food. Reminded us of someone.
      Sorry should have explained the pom in yesterdays blog. We kept on running into this british couple. Beach, restaurant in the street at Cagliari and lastly at the nuraghe site. By this time we were on hugging status.
      There r a lot of germans tourist. I (ann) keep getting mistaken for a german - bloody insult - sorry Mary.

      ... The ground floor and the cellar feature a few photographs of the family residences around Ajaccio and photographs of various agricultural instruments used on the land such as millstones, jars and oil-presses

      We spent 1hr there and it was well worth it. The entrance was free as it was the first Sunday of the month. Soon after our visit, we picked up our luggage and went to the airport to catch our flight to Rome where we had accommodations for one night.
