... so we could watch the sun rise over the Atlantic. So, I got the coffee going and we headed off to the beach with Harley. When we got to the sand we were not alone. There were quite a few people there, most of whom were there for the same reason we were.

Right on cue, at around 6:07 a glowing ball of fire peeked over the horizon. There were a few small clouds low in the sky and they glowed orange as well. I took several pictures as it rose. ...

Cheryl began looking for shells along the shore. Many shells but mostly broken up. We walked north on the beach about a quarter of a mile before we turned around to head back. The water was warm and was some of the cleanest and clearest water we have seen. It was heavenly.

Once again, Harley was a hit with the girls. And the boys, too. He is quite the conversation starter.

Peggy wanted to see the student exhibit at the Horry Georgetown Technical College in Conway. That was our first stop. We then did a walking tour of the historic part of Conway. Conway does not contain as old buildings as Georgetown. It was still a nice quiet walk.
